Good gift or brief background book on Tea, tea parties, etc

My copy of this book has a different picture on front, but I assume it is the same book. This is NOT a recipe book (although there a few), but a nicely presented, short and easy read which covers on the history of tea rituals and the like, tea trivia , choosing the leaf, brewing the perfect cup, the best teapot, laying the table or trolley, 5 recipes on teatime treats, tea caddies and cozies, reading tea leaves and tea parties, dances and childrens' teas. Most topics are given one page surrounded by a lot of historical painting, sketches etc. It has less than 200 words on how to throw a tea party---not as much as I would have liked, but maybe enough? (good point--not in kitchen or dining room but living room or garden) . So I think it would be a nice book to have if you plan to have a party--maybe a Downton Abbey, Jane Austin, Easter or neighborhood party--so you can treat your guests to a little bit of the history, trivia and etiquette, or perhaps as a gift for a tea enthusiast.

A very nice book. Anyone interested in tea will enjoy it. The history, social etiquette, some nice recipes and a host of other trivia makes this a very enjoyable read.

This book has some interesting tea lore and history, some beautiful pictures, directions for brewing the perfect cup of tea, and a few recipes. I can't wait to make the strawberry shortcake on the cover. I can tell by the ingredients it will be spectacular. This book is a wonderful addition to my collection of tea books.

I've often given this book as a gift to anyone who love England. It is beautiful and just the right size for gift basket.
